What you receive

A Personal purchase provides 2 separate keys; an Ultimate purchase provides 5 separate keys. Each key grants its holder a non-exclusive license to activate GridyNotch on one Mac. You may use different keys from your pack on your own separate Macs. These are software licenses, not ownership of the source code or intellectual property.

One-time activation

A key binds to one Mac during its first successful online activation. It cannot be used to activate another Mac. A retry with the same retained installation credentials returns the same activation and does not consume another key. After activation, the app verifies its signed receipt locally and can continue to work offline indefinitely.

Your activation credentials are stored in the macOS Keychain. An update or ordinary reinstall with those credentials retained should preserve activation. Erasing the Mac, losing its Keychain, moving to another Mac or replacing hardware can require support-assisted recovery.

Replacement and recovery

If you replace a Mac or lose its activation credentials, contact support with your purchase email and order/payment reference. We verify purchase ownership before assisting. Do not publish, resell, share publicly or use one key to keep multiple Macs licensed. A replacement is intended to replace your old installation, not create an additional license. Stop using the old copy when a replacement is approved.

There is no self-service deactivation requirement for normal daily use. Because an activated copy can work offline, a refund, revocation or replacement cannot immediately reach a Mac that stays offline. This does not permit continued use of a refunded or replaced license.

Updates and permitted use

All future GridyNotch updates are included with your purchase, irrespective of version. You may use the licensed app for personal or work tasks on the licensed Mac. Keep your keys private. Do not distribute modified copies as GridyNotch, bypass licensing, or use the app unlawfully. Any rights granted by applicable law remain unaffected.

Your windows and permissions

Window management uses macOS Accessibility access, which you control in System Settings. Project names, window assignments, settings and window-recovery information stay on your Mac. A license or network error must not delete your projects. Restore hidden windows and Quit remain available for safe recovery.
